I watched the very first episode on June 27, 1966, at age 9. I was not impressed. I thought it was going to be scary! I didn't watch again for two more years, at age 11, when I began to catch wind of the hype in junior high school. I tuned in again, and was hooked! After the obsession was abruptly ended on April 2, 1971 (I was SO crushed!), although I never forgot the series, I didn't think too much about it until 1986, when my local PBS station began to pick up the reruns (beginning with Barnabas' inaugural episode from 1967, and running through about the first month or so of the Parallel Time story line. Rediscovering my earlier obsession, I was again hooked, then crushed once again, when the syndicated episodes finally ran out (a group of us fans even picketed outside our local PBS station, but to no avail!) Fast forward to 1989, and I was thrilled once again to find that MPI was finally releasing the series on VHS. The rest, of course, is history! Now, thanks to this wonderful streaming service, I no longer have to purchase any DVDs, because it's all right here! And I can watch them anytime I want, without having to load DVDs and wade through multiple menus. And the quality! What could be better? I even rediscovered the early 1966-67 episodes and saw them in a whole new light. Thanks so much guys...you've made legions of fans like me simply ecstatic!!
